Join the many voices sharing their support now for defeating meningitis
On 28th September, the Global Roadmap to Defeat Meningitis will be launched by the World Health Organization (WHO). For the first time, countries will unite behind a global effort to defeat meningitis and provide meaningful aftercare to survivors and their families.
The launch provides an opportunity for your voice to be heard by global leaders at this once in a lifetime Roadmap launch. We need to show them how much people want to see meningitis defeated – the more voices we get the stronger the call to action.
Use the form to submit your message that celebrated the launch of the roadmap. This could be a photo, video, or even an audio file if you’d like. This will then be added to our gallery of support which will be shown at the Roadmap launch, for all to see, as proof of public support for the Roadmap. This will encourage global leaders to take action and help defeat meningitis.
Your voice deserves to be heard. Be part of history and show your support for the WHO Global Roadmap to Defeat Meningitis.
I fully support the global roadmap to help defeat meningitis
It's time to defeat meningitis, a disease that acts fast and devastates lives globally. Together we really can make it happen. As Mike Davies our great ambassador says, it's not time to say 'I can't' but instead ask 'How can I?'.
So unbelievably proud of MRF! We finally did it team !!!
This is such an important cause that I'm very proud of supporting. In 2016 I lost my mum to Bacterial Meningitis. She was a healthy, active, strong 75 years old with no other health conditions, but this disease came up quickly, with no particular warning signs and by the time we knew something was very wrong, it was too late! It is about time that the world came together to find a way to defeat Meningitis once and for all!
Our son, Griff, contracted pneumococcal meningitis when he was 1. We were very lucky and fortunately due to the excellent medical care that he received he made a full recovery. Many people are not so lucky. We fully support the drive to defeat meningitis - hopefully future parents wont have to experience this horrible illness. Huw and Sian Jones
MRF have worked so hard to get Meningitis recognised on the global roadmap - what a team! My husband died of meningococcal Meningitis in 2014. It is a disease that can devastate lives in minutes.
